Sugilite

A very rare silicate of manganese and aluminum, this gem is mined in the Wessels mine in South Africa. The most valuable form is the gel silica gem variety well known for its lavender purple coloration. This color is unique and hard to find. All the material I have cut is not dyed and completely natural.
